Vahali Dikri Yojana : Many financial schemes have been implemented by the government which can be useful to everyone, similarly, Wahali Dikri Yojana was announced by the Gujarat government in August 2019 to provide financial assistance to the citizens of the state. Under this scheme, up to the first two daughters, a total amount of ₹1,10,000 will be deposited in the daughter’s bank account by Sarkarshree by the time the daughter turns 18 years of age.

The name of the scheme is Dear Daughter Scheme
The standard of support is Rs 1,10,000 which will be paid in three installments by the time the daughter turns 18.

Purpose of the scheme
The objective of Wahali Dhoti Yojana is to promote the birth of daughters, to increase the level of education of daughters, to protect the future of daughters and to promote child birth, the government of Gujarat has implemented this scheme. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the parents of daughters, the scheme is to provide financial assistance of one lakh ten thousand in the daughter’s bank account by the time she turns 18, which is paid in three installments in total.
Up to the first two daughters are eligible to benefit from the scheme.
Under Wahali Dhotri Yojana, incentive amount is given to the first and second daughters of the family. Gujarat Wahali Dotti Yojana will definitely prevent female feticide, encourage girls’ education and provide sufficient funds for higher education and marriage of daughters, this scheme will play a huge role in women empowerment.
How the assistance amount will be paid.
Under Vahali Dikri Yojana, all daughters born after 2 August 2019 in any family in Gujarat (both the first and second daughters of the family) will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, the amount of assistance will be paid in three installments by the time the daughter attains the age of 18 years in which, the first installment:- A bond of 4,000 will be deposited in her bank account when the daughter enters the first standard.
Second Installment :- When the daughter enters ninth standard, a bond of Rs 6000 will be deposited in the daughter’s bank account.
Third Installment :- One lakh rupees assistance for higher education and marriage will be deposited in the daughter’s bank account when the daughter reaches 18 years of age. (4000 and 6,000 deposited earlier and one lakh in 18 years totaling ₹1,10,000 can be withdrawn from daughter’s bank account and used for daughter’s future)
Eligibility rules under Vali Dhoti Yojana
The first two daughters of the family born after 2 August 2019 will be eligible for the benefit
The age of the mother at the time of birth of a daughter should be 18 years or more
The family should be a permanent resident of Gujarat.
Income Limit The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2,00,000 to avail the benefit under this scheme.
Documents required to avail the benefit of this scheme
- To get the benefit of Wahali Dikri Yojana, the following documents will be required: Daughter’s birth certificate
- Example of income
- Proof of identity of parents
- Form of Beloved Child Scheme
- Self Declaration Form
- Bank account passbook
- Domicile Certificate
- Photographs of daughter and parent
Where and how to fill the form under Wahali Dhotri Yojana The application form for Gujarat Wahali Dhotri Yojana can be done through online process or offline.
According to the information, applications are accepted by the government both online and offline
Online application will have to be done from the official website related to the dear daughter scheme
In which the form has to be submitted online by filling the required details in the application form.
For candidates who want to apply offline
Dear Daughter Yojana form can be obtained free of charge from Gram Panchayat Office, Child Officer’s Office, Anganwadi Center and CDPO Office.
Beneficiaries living in rural areas have to go to the Gram Panchayat and apply online from the VCE operator
People living in urban areas will have to go to Mamlatdar office and apply online to the operator
The required documents should be given to the operator, the operator will fill the online application (you will not have to pay any charge to the operator for filling the online application, this process will be completely free)
Keep the online application form that will be given to you by the operator
Wait maximum 45 days after submitting your form
You will be informed within 45 days whether your application has been approved or rejected
If your application has been cancelled, go to the VCE or Mamlatdar office at the Gram Panchayat, find out the reason for the cancellation of the application and complete the incomplete details and fill the form again.
Self declaration form will be filled
You will not need to make any kind of affidavit to avail the benefit of dear daughter scheme, instead of affidavit you will have to fill self declaration form, the pdf of which is placed here. You have to take a printout of self declaration form and fill it.
