The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the destitute elderly and disabled elderly to lead their livelihood

Eligibility Rules for Old Age Assistance Scheme

There are certain rules laid down by the government for filling the form for this scheme which are as follows

1. Age of applicant should be 60 years or more, in case of disabled applicant age of 45 years or more and percentage of disability 75% or more.

2. The son of the applicant should not be more than 21 years of age, and if the son is physically or mentally disabled or has a serious illness like TB cancer, no rule will apply against his age being more than 21 years.

3. Must be native of Gujarat for last 10 years.

Benefits/Assistance of the Scheme

In this scheme, the application process will be completed within 30 days after filling the form and financial assistance of 750 will be directly deposited in the bank account from the next month onwards.

The scheme form has to be filled and deposited at the Mamlatdar office.
